29.2.08

Decided to get down to some updates.
Hmm.
Its been 2months.

Jan & Feb have been pretty eventful.
Esp so in the latter.
Considering the fact that I've attended like 3 weddings.
Attended like a handful of bday parties.
And met up with many many people!
Esp those aussie peeps.
Let me trace back the calendar of events.

January:

Attended Joseph's wedding.
The solemnization ceremony.
Jas and I decided to pass the dinner which was held at the inter-continental.
Prince Pauper told me EVERYONE was there.
It would have been nice to catch up with those singex folks.
Uh well.

Met up with debra daisy peiyee to celebrate deb's bday!
These girls whom we seldom speak with or hardly see each other even in sch.
But yet we've celebrated quite a few of their bdays tog.
Oddly funny.
But they're really nice to talk to =)

There was also Jas' home party just in the name of fun.
She whipped up a feast.
And had her friends and boyfriend's mates over to eat and have games.
That girl is steady lah.
The impressive list included items like tofu dumplings, meat balls, chicken steak, pasta, salad along with dressing like mango mayo and whatnot.
She did not just buy the meatballs and fry them.
They were minced and marinated and rolled into round things all by her!
As with those tofu dumplings.
Damn power!
So sweeeeet of her ain't it.
All that effort just to have everyone over for some good time on a saturday.

February:

Where we dress pretty and stuff ourselves silly with all the festive food.Literally.
My cousins kept going like "omg pam stop eating. you've been eating nonstop!"
I didnt't realise eyes were watching!
I was already trying my best to be discreet when i went round pinching the tidbits.
Seemed it didnt work!
CNY was nothing short of LOADSA good food and gambling and undoubtedly family bonding.

I concluded my favourite new year treats are yusheng!!! nian gao! loveletter! and kueh bangkit!

after a heavy dinner i PLONKED on jeanette's laps!!!

21st Feb:

This year was extra special.
On 'yuan xiao' (15th day of CNY), my grandparents had a ceremony to renew their wedding vows.
In conjunction with their golden wedding anniversary!
Double happiness!
That day happened to be the 'dong fang qing ren jie' (asian vday).
How apt.
My aunt was the one who called in to the radio station to sign them up for the event!
She was even interviewed in the papers for that lah! HAHA.
My grandparents had a series of wedding pics taken at the studio.
They must have felt so blissful to be putting on the wedding gown and march down the aisle once again with their children and grandchildren cheering them on!
Makes you wanna scream 'so xing fu' =)

the auspicious and traditional looking invite

Waipo looks really lovely that night! weeee weeeet!

Vday was spent having lectures in school.
That was a really good alternative since we were dateless anyway.
3 of us decided to head to town for some comfort food.pun totally intended.
We counted sooo many couples.
Like where did they come out from?
Seriously it was abit overwhelming.
Couples after couples.
Everywhere, the queues were in 2 single files.
So much so that you'll probably feel out of place if you joined in the queue.
I remembered laughing alot during the dinner.
Doesnt help since our table was smacked in the middle of the restaurant.
The couples around us kept throwing the dirty glances.
All thanks to shenlyn.
The things she says and does.
SO funny i tell you.
One very interesting character really.

Caught up with the vases also.
Its been so long really.
All thanks to Hanis who came back from Aussie.
So we kinda had the reason to get the group together.

For now, its march!
I guess the the festive party mood has more or less subsided.
Time to settle down and hit the books.
Really gotta give it my best give it my all!
Yes and I so mean it.
