Saw the video of 'the most passionate maths lecturer' on ann's blog.
Mr Syed.
I miss.
The hip hop pants.the "self".the "pair of look here eyes".
Gosh.
He definitely made a difference. =)

Cant believe I'm graduating in a matter of 1.5 months.

I never liked Math.
But Syed probably rekindled that flame.

And now I hope to pass on that kinda inspiration I derived from him to my tutees.

Which I think is happening. =)

It was really consoling to see my student putting in so much effort to the subj she didnt like.(Math)
Apparently she has grown to appreciate the subj.
From a 'D' for her PSLE, she has since topped the class in all the graded assignments.
So proud of her =)

Smart alec boy too.
He's working towards achieving that perfect score for the exams!

This boy says some of the most amusing things sometimes, albeit nasty.
I wonder what goes on in that 12 year old mind of his.
I should consider getting a book to put down all his CLASSIC quotes.

On his daddy's boss:

"My dad's boss is an ugly and short man.Who looks like a toad.
The 1st time I met him. I was surprised to see that there were no webs growing on his hands."

On his physical fitness test:

Me: I wonder how some people can jump 2m for their standing broad jump?

Kid: Oh for that, you probably gotta study the theory of air resistance, lift, drag, velocity, arm strength and ... then TADA! you'll get the perfect formula to jumping a 2m!

On his baby sis:

Me: She's so cute.

Kid: Oh yes. But sometimes she's like a total monster. Crying and wailing. She looks like she has a fit. I considered bringing her to see a medium.

Me: (shocked)You mean you know of some mediums?

Kid: Just go online and find!

Really, kids say the darnest thing.
